    Title: Tax Manager-Family Wealth Management--Top 100 CPA Firm
    Location: McLean, VA
    Pay Rate: $90000 - $110000

    General Comments:

    Tax Manager - Family Wealth Management

    Required:

    -Understanding the technical issues and possessing the skills necessary to review complex individual related tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1041, 709 & 990-PF
    -Understanding the technical issues and possessing the skills necessary to review basic business tax returns, including Forms 1065 and 1120S
    -Reviewing projects and returns prepared by Tax Staff and Seniors
    -Preparing invoices, following up on receivables and developing budgets
    -Performing research and preparing consulting projects
    -Communicating directly with clients and their advisors by phone email or in person, and serving as the primary point of contact
    -Attending client meetings alone or with a supervisor
    -Identifying tax planning & consulting opportunities, including coordination with client's other advisors
    -Proactively communicating with supervisors on status of projects and assistance needed
    -Handling administrative responsibilities including billing, interviewing candidates, participating in training as an attendee and as a leader
    -Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and auditing standards
    -Understanding of a broad range of accounting issues including those involving higher levels of judgment such as: priority for income taxes, revenue recognition,subsequent events, contingencies and industry specific procedures
    -Experience with Prosystems and BNA Tax planner preferred
    -Knowledge of accounting, tax, audit and related business trends
    -Ability to review and provide feedback on work prepared by Tax Staff and Seniors in a professional manner
    -Ability to gather, organize and summarize information efficiently and effectively
    -Ability to adhere to given budgets and time deadlines
    -Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
    -Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet
    -Manages own time and the time of others
    -Motivates, develops and directs people as they work
    -Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
    -Applies principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
    -Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    -Interviews, trains and orients staff
