Description:
We have several clients that are looking to grow their Fraud Investigations and Forensic Accounting Consulting practices in NYC. Our clients are mid-size public accounting firms and boutique consulting firms. They are currently looking for several partners to help grow this practice. Base salaries in the $200,000 to $400,000 range and W2 in the $300,000 to $1 Million range annually. Candidates must have extensive experience in creating revenue streams and be able to develop $1-3M in the first 12 months. Must currently be with a professional services organization.
We have similar needs in San Francisco, Chicago and Los Angeles as well as a strictly business development role in NYC.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will help to oversee the litigation support group and bring expertise to this growing group. This position will be responsible for helping to direct and lead all litigation services activities in the areas of Business Valuation, Litigation, Fraud Offerings, and Forensics. This position is also responsible for coordinating and managing all of the resources and processes to help grow this into a significant, highly profitable practice segment encompassing: product/service development, creation, development and retention of a high quality team, taking a lead role in targeting our market offerings, and serving as one of the lead project managers on projects that call on multiple disciplines.
Have Diverse experience in audit, forensic accounting and or damages analysis
Are familiar with representing creditors involving bankruptcy matter
Coordinate the various phases of an engagement with the partner, including staff requirements, and job planning and scheduling, and plan the logistics of the engagement.
Take ownership and are fully responsible for all phases of an engagement.
Collaborate to plan engagement objectives and a strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risk.
Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team. Delegate work successfully.
Assign work to team members on the basis of their knowledge and capabilities and supervise staff.
Communicates progress of engagement, problems and resolutions to the partner and then the client.
Qualifications:
An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting and/or other appropriate academic major, as well as CPA certification
CFE /ASA designation preferred
Approximately 10+ years of experience working in audit, litigation support, forensic accounting and/or damages analysis (prior experience in testifying a plus).
Experience leading litigation support engagements
Experience representing creditors involving bankruptcy matters.
Experience and ability in uncovering fraud through the use of data mining and advanced techniques.
