Position Description
This position will report to the Manager of Finance and provide financial reporting, analysis and decision support within the LOB (Line of Business) Finance Technology Planning & Analysis team. The primary responsibilities of this position will include partnering with Business Technology senior management to provide accurate financial planning and forecasting, capital and resource allocation, thought leadership and insightful analysis to drive timely decision-making and positive business results.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform budgeting, forecasting and analysis for the Business Technology organization.
Execute monthly close activities including accrual entries, variance analysis and expense trending.
Create insightful and strategic financial results reports for organizational leadership and cross-functional teams and effectively communicate those financial results.
Leverage diverse sources of data (HFM, Essbase, MS Excel, MS Access, etc) to assess financial performance and develop action plans for achieving business goals.
Identify functional business drivers and develop cost allocation methodologies to support in-depth analysis and timely decision-making.
Provide ad-hoc financial analytics for Business Technology leadership as requested to achieve positive results.
Skills Required:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
5 years, minimum, work experience in financial planning & analysis, forecasting, strategy and/or business management.
Experience in variance and expense trend analytics, problem-solving and cost benefit analysis using investment / project measurements such as NPV, IRR, etc.
Proficiency with Hyperion Essbase, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.
Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills. Must have demonstrable ability to successfully interact with all levels in the business.
High-level of initiative and critical thinking to formulate business issues into analytical problems and devise actionable solutions.
Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Skills Desired:
MBA preferred.
Prior experience in Information Technology desirable. Specifically, cost allocation as well as the identification and application of functional business drivers and unit cost metrics.
