Description:

NYC Regional CPA firm seeking Practice Leader for its Tax group. The Practice Leader is responsible for the delivery of a full range of tax services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a Tax Practice of 30-40 professionals including Partners, Managers and Staff
• Interact closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise
• Deliver a full range of Tax services including tax return preparation and review, tax research, preparation of technical memorandums, drafting client correspondence, and counseling client in defending against state audits
• Practice development and business development activities
• Oversee the efforts of multiple client services teams on client engagements;
• Plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries
• Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews.
Qualifications
• CPA
• Must have functioned at the partner level within a regional public accounting firm
• Extensive experience managing staff and engagements in Corporate Tax.
• Solid technical and leadership skills are required for this position.
• Experience in Construction, Healthcare, Manufacturing or NFP is a plus
